THE PIZZA

CONTACTING THE WATCHER FOR PIZZA

Along with the map were some take out menus; Gwen called the number on them and got a message from The Watcher and three days later, the pizza they ordered was delivered.

THE MESSAGE

Using their cell phones, Gwen & co. call the number on the take away pamphlets. The number, for the most part, rings and rings and rings, clicking over to a static-y voicemail each time. Through static, a chirpy employee answers: "Dough My Goodness. Leave a message at the —"

In their hands, the cell phones emit a high-pitched buzz, at a register that sounds eerily like a shriek. As soon as they tilt the phones from their hands, they catch text across the screen splintering, coming together to form words.

HELLO, GWENDOLYN.
SUCH A PRETTY NAME FOR A DEAD GIRL.
I HAVE BEEN HOPING YOU WOULD REACH OUT.
I AM SO GLAD YOU DID.

THANK YOU.
ALL FOUR OF YOU.
YOU GAVE ME MONTHS.
MONTHS OF SITTING WITH ALL OF YOU
WITHOUT ANYONE KNOWING I WAS THERE.

THE PIZZA(S)

Exactly three days timed to the very hour and minute they called, pizza arrives on the doorstep. Each pizza has a name on it (though it looks as if whoever wrote it was unused to the language,) and look like ordinary pizzas with the exception of black goo as a sauce base, and the toppings swimming in it.

Gwen: a pizza encrusted with an unholy amount of M&Ms. The receipt order pinned to it reads: I SAW YOU LIKED THESE. THIS IS WHAT PIZZA IS.

Koby: a pizza strewn with marshmallow Peeps. Some are deflated. Some have already melted into the sea of black sauce, drowning in it. Others seem to have been applied after the baking was complete.

Silco: a unique shape

Mithra: something that looks like someone went on a nature walk and emptied their pockets onto it, liberally — and we do mean liberally — seasoned with herbs, flowers, some that have since gone extinct and others that do not match any plant identification known to mankind. Another note order, addressed to her, reads: I WANTED IT TO BE MEANINGFUL FOR BOTH OF YOU. I HOPE YOUR PASSENGER ALSO ENJOYS IT. TELL IT I SAID HELLO.

Gwen: "Peter and I did some tests on the…goo? To see if we could figure out what it was. It doesn’t match any known pathogen or compound or biological matter either of us (or Dr. House) is familiar with.

I asked Dom if he could try using magic to identify it, but his spell to see where it came from or who delivered it backfired.

After the pizza delivery, Silco, Mithra and I wanted to ask the Library some follow-up questions. As Mithra shared on Michael’s post, we intended to contact The Watcher."

PIZZA INVESTIGATIONS

Gwen is investigating the pizzas with Peter.

The goo is strange but organic in entirety, but doesn't match any known pathogen, compound or ingredient that can be identified. It also smells very good.

They eat it with strange side effects, monitored by House.

Grace also mentions the library's goo that dispersed after it was alerted to her missing.

Domingos helps attempt to scry with a mirror where these pizzas were before Saltburnt:

Earlier I performed a divination spell on some food that came in from the outside. I used a mirror for it. I couldn't see into the past, but I think it saw me. Like someone looking back in when u look out a window.

Dr. Strange replied that the last time he looked at it, it trapped him in liminal space.

When it finally let me go, coming back tripped a switch that triggered a seizure.
